Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child is a complete beginner?

The vast majority of the athletes that walk through our doors have never really lifted weights before. All of our programs scale appropriately for the skill level of the athlete.

What age groups do you work with?

We train athletes at the middle school & high school level. Athletes must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the program.

My child already lifts at school. Why do they need this?

Most school weight-room workouts are randomly thrown together without much thought. This just leads to wasted time and effort with minimal progress. They're also, most times, very unsupervised, which poses a safety risk for athletes.

Is it safe for youth athletes to lift weights?

Yes! Contrary to worries in the past about stunted growth, or growth plate issues, these claims have never been proven. The opposite has shown to be true, where lifting weights has been shown to not just be safe, but also improve growth for youth athletes.
